The OFS 300 is a versatile instrument for the inspection of optical fiber connectors. By employing universal adapter cap mount, it can inspect virtually any connector style for scratches, dirt, or other problems normally associated with poor transmission performance. This OFS offers 60 hours of continuous battery life. These units are gently used, mostly for lab work (from a Nortel research lab that closed shop). several units available, your choice of;

The OFS 300 offers precision magnification to easily inspect both multimode and single-mode fiber optic connectors. Various adapter caps are available to facilitate viewing of the desired connector style. The OFS 300 uses the same common threaded connector adapter caps as the Noyes Optical Power Meters and Loss Test Sets. The OFS 300-200C uses a Thread-on Adapter Mount.

A built-in laser safety filter provides > 40 dB IR protection to reduce risk of injury to the eye if accidentally viewing an active fiber.* The OFS 300 features a universal adapter cap mount that accepts a variety of Noyes thread-on style adapter caps (ordered separately) to ease inspection of many connector style. A momentary power switch located on the top panel keeps one hand free for focusing.
